Linda Buffington of the UGA Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute serves as Financial Manager for the Center. She has 20 years of grant management experience and works closely with the accountant assigned to the Center project to assure expenditure control.

Barry Coleman of the UGA Biomedical and Health Sciences Institute serves as accountant for the Center.
Terry Kaley, MA, RD
Terry Kaley serves as project manager for the Center. She is responsible for coordinating and monitoring ongoing projects and research cores, facilitating all phases of data collection protocols, record keeping, grant and report writing, and budgetary oversight. She is a registered dietitian and has managed multiple community-based health promotion programs among diverse socio-economic and ethnic groups in Georgia. Her expertise includes conducting qualitative research and developing community-campus partnerships with advisory groups, community leaders, public officials, and representatives of target audiences. Ms. Kaley also has an extensive business background in client relations, administration, and budgetary oversight.
Diane Murray serves as Director of Public Service and Outreach for the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. In this role she develops and coordinates professional development and outreach programs for a variety of audiences including programs with the Knight Chair in Health and Medical Journalism and other faculty in the Southern Center for Communication, Health and Poverty. Prior to joining Grady she served as Continuing Education coordinator for the University of Georgia at Gwinnett and the Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds a bachelor of arts in journalism with a major in advertising from the University of Georgia and a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Human Resource Development from Georgia State University.
Dr. Sherrie R. Whaley, Ph.D.
Dr. Sherrie R. Whaley is assistant to the dean for external affairs in UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. A veteran communications specialist, she is skilled in photography, as well as in the creation and dissemination of targeted content. Dr. Whaley has extensive experience in public relations, teaching, and research, co-authoring the 2004 Journal of Applied Communications Research Article of the Year and winning a 2005 Special Merit Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She will work primarily with the Center’s communication and marketing core.
